Growing Vibrant Communities is a civilian driven component of a national non-profit organization called America in Bloom. Our local group, Let Growth Unite Us, applies annually to be local organizers here in Grand Ridge, IL
Growing Vibrant Communities is a community enhancement self-assessment program that encourages volunteer community leadership – in coordination with municipal efforts – to make an ongoing commitment to community vitality, beauty, environmental stewardship, and the celebration of heritage.
Through volunteer leadership and community engagement, your team will work toward enhancement goals across seven levels of self-assessment: community vitality, flowers, landscaped areas, urban forestry, environmental efforts, celebrating heritage, and overall impression.
Omnist High Meadows Sanctuary along with local 4-H clubs, Village of Grand Ridge residents and local businesses contribute to keeping the program active. Our main display is located at 110 W Main Street, Grand Ridge IL
